This information is vital for shaping strategies and policies aimed at protecting water quality and the health of citizens.

During the visit, a significant proposal was made to Mr. Heracles Athanasiou. Professor Daughton proposed that Mr. Heracles Athanasiou be included in the research scientific team of the U.S. EPA. This proposal is a recognition of Mr. Athanasiou’s expertise and contribution to the field of water quality research. His participation in such an important research team is expected to enhance efforts to understand and address issues related to water quality on a global scale.

Additionally, Mr. Kostas and Heracles Athanasiou visited the offices of the National Science Foundation (N.S.F.), where they received extensive information about the major problems facing water globally. This briefing included the latest developments and research regarding the challenges of water resource management, as well as technological innovations and proposals for addressing them.

The contacts and discussions that took place during their visit to America provided Mr. Athanasiou with valuable knowledge and experiences, which will significantly contribute to the continuation of their research and the implementation of innovative solutions for improving water quality. Collaboration with international research organizations and the exchange of expertise is a cornerstone for promoting scientific knowledge and effectively addressing environmental issues.

In summary, the visit of Messrs. Kostas and Heracles Athanasiou to the offices of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) and the National Science Foundation (N.S.F) in Las Vegas was a significant event in their careers.
