⚡ I was given a test with a device (an electric sedimentation device) and it changed the color of both the tap water and other filtered water outside of their reverse osmosis filter. Is this proof that my water is not clean while theirs is?

thumbnail

The use of settling electric devices for water quality control is a topic that often causes confusion among consumers. Essentially, these devices do not provide valid information about water quality and are usually used to promote specific reverse osmosis water filters, misleading consumers.

🛑 Deceptive sales tactics

Sellers using water softening devices or electric water softeners are a typical example of consumer deception, through statements about what the test shows and what it does not show. The test only indicates the levels of salts or inorganic hardness substances in the water and does not provide any information regarding the quality or the presence of potential health-hazardous pollutants.

📢 What the WQA – Water Quality Association states

Regarding the above, the Water Quality Association (WQA), which is the largest and internationally recognized organization regarding water quality, states that testing with the electrical sedimentation device is misleading.
In the “WQA Authority Statement Document on Sedimentation Testing”, it is stated:

“The Water Quality Organization recommends that electric testing (with electrodes) not be used as a means of checking water quality because it is a fraud. The electric sedimentation device causes the release of metallic ions into the water (rust from the metal rods), which form sediment that is clearly visible in the water.”

🌈 Why does the water change color during the test

The reason that tap water and filtered water from other sources changes color during this test is because it contains inorganic salts that react with electric current. This does not mean that the water contains dangerous pollutants.

Metallic salts are natural components of drinking water and are essential for our health. In contrast, water from reverse osmosis systems does not contain the beneficial inorganic salts and trace elements, and for this reason does not react during the test.

🧪 Experiment to Uncover the Fraud

A simple test to prove the fraud is to drop half a teaspoon of salt into the “clean” water they claim to produce. Ask them to repeat the experiment. The water, this time, will turn black, even though the salt does not contain chemicals or other dangerous elements, so this way you will be sure about this specific fraud.

🚱 Deionized water is unsuitable for drinking

The WQA explains that deionized water, which does not contain mineral salts, is unsuitable for drinking and is very dangerous.
The absence of these beneficial salts makes it incapable of reacting with electric current because it is dead water, resulting in no visible change during the test.

Pure drinking water contains useful mineral salts that are beneficial and essential for our body. It is characteristic that in supermarkets deionized water is sold, meaning water that would not change color when you do this experiment, with the label “not suitable for drinking” and is intended for use in irons and batteries.

🔍 Don’t be swayed by attention-grabbing experiments

It is important to not be misled by such deceptive methods and to rely on reliable sources and recognized laboratories for the quality testing of your water.
If someone comes forward and tries to mislead you in this way, it is important to inform the relevant authorities for further action and us to be aware of it.

💧 The solution lies in the certified Camelot® filters

For water quality control, it is better to use certified laboratories and specialized water filters, such as those from Camelot® which are known for their effectiveness in removing all hazardous chemical pollutants from water, due to their technology that contains 850 grams of active pharmaceutical carbon, the best quality and with membrane pores from 0.1 to 0.4 microns, unlike competitors that have from 30 to 120 grams and pores from 0.5 microns and above.

The difference in water quality is huge. A test will convince you.

✅ In conclusion

The use of the electric sedimentation device is not a reliable method for assessing water quality. On the contrary, it is a practice aimed at misleading consumers.

To ensure that the water you consume is safe and clean, trust certified methods and reliable sources.

Call Camelot® at the same time they are to prove it to you.
