SOS for water in plastic bottles (THE NEWS)

Scientists are sounding the alarm about water in plastic bottles. Not without reason, given that components from the packaging can even cause hormonal disruptions.

Plastic bottles used for bottling water seem to pose health risks, as German scientists have found that they can cause hormonal disturbances in men.

Bottled water has already been implicated in the damage it causes to the environment. This is because the production of plastic bottles consumes tons of oil and water. A new study suggests that these containers may also be harmful to health, as the water bottled in plastic contains twice as many hormones as tap water or that bottled in glass containers. In other words, it seems that plastic releases components into the water that cause hormonal disruptions. The consequences of consumption in very small doses are not yet known; however, there are suspicions that they may cause disruptions in male sexual and reproductive function.
