🧫 Is it enough to do a simple analysis for bacteria, chlorine, and metal salts to know if my water is safe?

thumbnail

✅ Answer: No, and here’s why

Simple water analyses that are often conducted in chemical laboratories are limited to microbial indicators, the presence of chlorine, and sometimes hardness or conductivity. Although these measurements provide a preliminary picture, they in no way reveal the truly most dangerous water pollutants associated with serious health risks.

The most critical substances that should concern us are not easily detected in simple routine analyses, and unfortunately many consumers are misled or waste money on tests that provide no substantial information.

Many of these basic substances – such as organic compounds, pharmaceutical residues, plasticizers, or synthetic chemical substances – require specialized analytical techniques that are not provided by conventional microbiological tests.

🚨 The most important pollutants you need to know about:

  1. Lead (Pb): heavy metal with neurotoxic effects, particularly dangerous for children. It can leach into water from old pipes or soldering.
  2. Asbestos fibers: carcinogenic, they are found in most areas with old water supply networks.
  3. Microplastics: are now found in over 90% of water samples worldwide – even in bottled water 100%!
  4. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs): extremely toxic compounds, combustion products, are present in all waters  from fires and not only.
  5. Chlorinated compounds (THMs): by-products of chlorine associated with carcinogenesis and liver damage.
  6. Nitrates and nitrites: usually come from fertilizers, agricultural and livestock pollution.
  7. Pharmaceutical residues and hormones: unfortunately, they exist in urban networks.

Many of these substances, such as THMs and PAHs, have no taste, color, or smell – which makes their presence in water even more dangerous.

💡 What to watch out for before paying for water analysis

  • If the analysis they suggest only concerns bacteria, chlorine, or metal salts, it is not sufficient to determine if your water is safe.
  • Before you pay, ask to see which pollutants are being analyzed and if they include heavy metals, microplastics, PAHs, and chemical pollutants.
  • Remember: The quality of drinking water does not depend on its clarity or taste, but on the absence of invisible toxic substances.

Stick to certified analysis methods (such as EPA or ISO standards), and avoid simple “impression measurements” that do not focus on the essence.

🛡️ What does Camelot® do differently?

At Camelot®, we do not rely on “showcase analyses” to impress. On the contrary:

  • We provide real updates and offer the opportunity to test the filter in your water.
  • Our certified filters, such as the Imperial® Plus, are tested for removal of dangerous chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, and microplastics. In general, we remove all parameters of chemical water pollutants.
  • We guide you responsibly, without unnecessary expenses or meaningless analyses.

📌 Conclusion:

Don’t leave your health to the chance of “a simple analysis”! Get informed responsibly and invest in real protection with filters that remove what truly threatens the body.

Protecting your family starts with the right information – not with cheap “reports” that do not tell the truth about your water.

If you are considering water analysis and have questions, you can always contact us before proceeding. We will guide you for free, based on the actual needs of your water.
